Naqash, Mir visited SMHS Hospital to see the injured girl students of Shopian | KNO

Srinagar 22 May (KNO) : Senior Hurriyat leaders including Mohammad Yousuf Naqash Chairman Islamic Political Paty JK and Javaid Ahmad Mir Chairman JKLF (H) today visited SMHS Hospital to enquire about the condition of injured teenage female students due to the indiscriminate firing of Indian forces at Shopian just for objecting to the Iftar party of forces Personnel.

Most of the injured are teenaged female students including two sisters Shakira Hameed class 10th student and Shafia Hameed 12th class students and another girl student of class 12th Shobia Qayoom who have suffered bullet injuries, besides other injured civilians. Naqash and Mir while strongly condemning this barbaric act of targeting civilians particularly teenaged girl students has said that India is befooling world in the name of so-called cease fire. These girl students were not holding guns in their hands and even then they were ruthlessly targeted and such kind of drama of cease fire must open the eyes of world community and international human rights organizations about the oppressive policies of India in occupied Kashmir. Naqash and Mir expressed sympathy with the families of injured girls and also expressed shock on such oppressive acts of India.

They stressed for practical intervention of United Nations Organization for permanently solving this long standing dispute and safeguarding the people from this unabated oppression. Kashmir being one of the longest pending disputes in United Nations Organization needs immediate attention and Solution in the interest of peace, security and development of South Asia.
